A BIT ABOUT ME

Hello, & Welcome!

My passion for accessible and affordable reproductive health care started at a young age. My dedication to reproductive health care advocacy, and many years as a nanny/babysitter, led me to my passion: working with new parents and babies. The innate strength of the human body leaves me in awe and has certainly helped shape my career thus far.

My philosophy surrounding birth work stems from the idea that our bodies possess all the knowledge and strength needed for a successful labor and birth. I strongly support the notion that an optimal birth setting is one in which the birthing person feels safe, supported, and secure. Because of this, I encourage a relaxed and positive mindset facilitated by positive affirmations, reframing of fears, and other calming techniques (such as breathing and guided meditations). Having been a dancer, I also value incorporating movement and body positioning into labor management. These techniques can enhance your labor ritual, as well as support more optimal positions for your baby. As a holistic birth doula, I strive to provide an individualized environment in which my clients feel 100% comfortable. There is no 'right' way to birth. So, no matter your preferences, my goal is to ensure you have a positive experience.

I am a Registered Nurse, a Certified Public Health Nurse, and hold my Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Dominican University of California. In my studies, I came to realize that the benefits of doula support are not widely recognized nor understood. I hope to continue my education and become a Certified Nurse Midwife/Women's Health Nurse Practitioner in order to further provide affordable and accessible services for the families within my community.

I am a Birth Arts International Certified Doula (CD-BAI), and I am a member of the Doulas by the Bay collective. You can also find me on Doula Match. To learn more about my experience or inquire about specific services, please use the contact page to schedule a free consultation with me. I look forward to hearing from you!
